Working with Thames Valley Police

CLCS have been providing ongoing maintenance and scheduled servicing for Thames Valley Police (and other forces in the UK) for over five years.

In addition, as part of these ongoing service contracts, we provide the forces with reports on the condition of the locks within the custody suites and offer emergency call out services.

Detainees can often be violent or under the influence of alcohol or illicit substances. Because of this, they will often attack the cell door and place considerable stress on the door/lock package. Whilst the doors and locks are designed to withstand sustained attack they are, ultimately, mechanical products which require inspection for signs of of wear or damage on a periodic basis. The inspection is not just to ensure that excessive wear is not creating a ligature risk between the door and frame or local to the handle area.
